Background

To accelerate digital skills development and support IT education across Moldova, a prominent national initiative launched a project to create a centralized e-learning platform. The platform needed to serve as a hub for free and structured courses targeting students, professionals, and entrepreneurs.

The Challenge

The initiative required:

  • A powerful and flexible Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Seamless multilingual support and responsive design
  • Support for self-paced and instructor-led courses
  • Tools for tracking learner progress, managing assessments, and issuing certificates
  • An admin-friendly backend for managing thousands of users and content

The Solution

We developed and deployed a scalable e-learning portal using Drupal 9 and Opigno LMS, a powerful distribution built specifically for digital learning.

  • SCORM compatibility for multimedia-rich content

  • Hosting: Dockerized setup on Linux servers with NGINX, hosted on a national education cloud

Impact

The platform made digital education accessible nationwide, enabling scalable training aligned with Moldova’s national IT development strategy. Built on Drupal and Opigno, it ensured flexibility, security, and long-term sustainability.
